Write It! Arabic review: price, free version and privacy

Our verdict

Write It! Arabic is a cheap, focused way to learn the letter shapes by hand. It is a supplement, so pair it with a course for vocabulary and grammar.

What Write It! Arabic is

Write It! Arabic teaches you to write the 28 letters of the Arabic alphabet by tracing them on screen. Handwriting recognition checks each stroke, a practice mode gives stroke-by-stroke guidance, a timed test mode checks speed, and a customizable review mode and progress tracking round it out. The listing says everything works offline.

Who it suits

• Beginners learning to write Arabic letters
• Learners who want a script companion to a course app

Strengths

• Real handwriting recognition with stroke-by-stroke guidance
• Short lessons, a timed test mode and a review mode
• Full offline support, according to the description
• One-time Full Unlock instead of a subscription

Limits

• Letters only: no words, vocabulary, grammar or speaking
• The age rating notes advertising, and identifiers, usage data and diagnostics may be used for tracking
• Part of the description refers to "Hebrew script", apparently copied from a sister app
• The listing does not say how many lessons are free before the unlock

What the free version does

The app is free to download with ads. A Full Unlock purchase exists, but the listing does not say which lessons are free.

Price

Full Unlock is listed at $4.99, $6.99 and $8.99 on the US App Store in November 2026. These are one-time purchases, with no subscription in the list.

Privacy

The developer declares that identifiers, usage data and diagnostics may be used to track you. The same types are collected without being linked to your identity.
