About AppsFor and disclosure

AppsFor helps people find the right app for what they want to learn: a language, an instrument, a school subject, a skill. Most "best apps" lists are written by app makers ranking themselves first, or are paid placements. We wanted the opposite: comparisons that show their sources, their dates and every app's weaknesses.

What we do

Each page answers one need, compares the apps that matter for it, and says who each one suits. Facts such as prices, in-app purchases, privacy labels and update dates come from the US App Store and are re-checked every week. How we review explains the method and its current limits.

How the site is funded

For now, it is not: there are no ads, no sponsored placements and no affiliate links. If that changes, this page will say how, and every page affected will carry a clear notice. Paid placement in our rankings will never be for sale.

Ownership

AppsFor is published by Le Super Cent, a small independent app studio. Le Super Cent also makes Anatomy Atlas 3D, a free 3D anatomy atlas for iPhone and iPad. Because of that link:

  • Anatomy Atlas 3D appears only where it is relevant, on the anatomy page, with a disclosure at the top of that page and of its review.
  • It is described with the same checks and the same public data as every other app, and its limits are listed.
  • No other Le Super Cent app is reviewed on AppsFor.
