Prepful review: price, free version and privacy

Our verdict

Prepful suits SAT students with a few weeks left who want the app to decide what to study each day. Students starting many months ahead, or who want a long track record, may prefer an established prep course.

What Prepful is

Prepful is an SAT prep app, released in June 2026, that says it is built for the final weeks before the test. You enter your test date and target score, and the app ranks skills by how many points it estimates you can gain, then serves short "Boosts" on one skill at a time. It also lists timed practice tests, a Mistake Bank, study guides and flashcards, an AI companion called Pax, and ACT practice in the same subscription.

Who it suits

• SAT students with a test date a few weeks away
• Students preparing for both the SAT and the ACT

Strengths

• A study plan that counts back from your test date, according to the description.
• Skills ranked by estimated point gains, with step-by-step explanations.
• Timed practice tests, mini mocks and a Mistake Bank with explanations.
• ACT practice included in the same subscription, on phone or computer.
• Frequent updates since its June 2026 release.

Limits

• Point gains are the app's own predictions, not guarantees.
• Identifiers are declared for tracking, and six data types are linked to you.
• New, with under 600 ratings so far.
• Eight Pro price points make the cost hard to compare.

What the free version does

The description says Prepful is free to start, with no credit card required, and begins with a free diagnostic. It does not say which features need Pro.

Price

On the US App Store in November 2026, Prepful Pro is listed at $9.99 (Weekly), $29.99 and $39.99 (Monthly), $99.99 (Quarterly), $89.99 to $119.99 (Semi-Annual) and $149.99 (Yearly).

Privacy

The privacy label says identifiers may be used to track you. Contact info, user content, identifiers, usage data, diagnostics and other data are linked to you.

What the screenshots show

The screenshots show student score claims and a testimonial, and a projected score curve to test day with a list of skills such as Inferences and Boundaries next to estimated point gains.
