Our verdict

Parrot is a good choice if you can read some Spanish but freeze when people speak at normal speed. Beginners who want grammar taught step by step should start with a course app and add Parrot later.

What Parrot is

Parrot teaches Spanish through a scrolling feed of short videos from native speakers. You tap any word in the captions for a translation and save it, then do quick activities after each video: matching, fill in the blank, sentence building and saying the line out loud with pronunciation feedback. Saved words come back as flashcards on a personalized path.
